Hare Hill Information

 
Hare HillThis tranquil woodland garden, especially spectacular in early summer, includes more than 70 varieties of rhododendrons, plus azaleas, hollies and hostas. At its heart is a delightful walled area with a pergola and wire sculptures. The surrounding parkland has an attractive permitted link path to nearby Alderley Edge.

How to get there

Between Alderley Edge and Macclesfield (B5087) turn north on to Prestbury Road, continue ¾ mile. Entrance on left.

Access

• Parking is provided for visitors within about 100 metres of the entrance
• Mainly level access on compacted gravel paths
• Paths in woodland areas can be bumpy and sometimes wet
• Some steps in places (alternative route usually by pass these)

The best time to visit Hare Hill is during May and June, when you can enjoy a riot of colour from the massed planting of Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
