Opening Times
The gardens are open from April 10 to September 30, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
Bluebell Cottage Gardens Information
Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Lodge Lane Nursery are situated midway between Warrington and Northwich in Cheshire. Lodge Lane Nursery is an RHS partner nursery and specialises in hardy herbaceous perennials, with a typical stock of over 1500 varieties.
The adjacent 1.5 acre cottage garden is open to the public from the 28th April and is a delight from spring to autumn with a huge range of planting, both familiar and rare.
Together with the 3 acre wildflower meadow and 2 acre bluebell woods, the gardens offer an ideal half day out for garden lovers and non-gardeners alike. Refreshments are available in the nursery and there is plenty of seating throughout the gardens.
Horticultural events are held throughout the year in association with the RHS, including photography, painting, propagation workshops and specialist subject talks such as apple growing.
The gardens welcome group bookings and provide a package of access, refreshments and guided tours to suit
Admission
Adults £3.00, RHS members free, children free.
Facilities
The general facilities at Bluebell Cottage Gardens include:
• Self-service drinks are offered in the nursery tearoom during the week and for booked groups by prior arrangement.
• There is plenty of seating both inside and out.
How to get there
By road:
From M56, Junction 10:
Take the A49 south towards Whitchurch. After about 3 miles, take the A533 right at a traffic light controlled cross-roads (garage on the corner). Lodge Lane is a left turn after about 1 mile.
From M56 Junction 11:
Take the A56 south towards Frodsham. Take the first left along Windmill Lane, or the second left along the A533 towards Northwich. Windmill Lane joins the A533 after about 1.5 miles. Lodge Lane is a right turn off the A533 and the nursery is signposted 200 yds beforehand.
Car Parks: The car park is located at the nursery. Coach parking by prior arrangement 200 yds along the lane.

Access
• The nursery paths are wide and on a gentle slope. There are no steps.
• The garden paths are grass or gravel and also on a slope.
• About 3/4 of the garden grass paths are wide enough for wheelchair access when ground conditions are firm and dry.
• Toilets are provided for customer use.

Bluebell Cottage Gardens are situated close to the Trent and Mersey canal and are just a short walk from the River Weaver making it the perfect base for country walks. Why not stretch your legs and try a walk on your day out?
